The UE Chambers was established in the year 2005 by Uditha Egalahewa. Uditha Egalahewa, head of Chambers, counts thirty years at the Bar. He joined the Chambers of the Attorney General of Sri Lanka in 1990 and served as a counsel attached to the Government Institutions Branch, a State Counsel and then as a Senior State Counsel for a period of 15 years. Leaving the Official Bar in the year 2005, he established his own Chambers.
Since the inception, Chambers of Uditha Egalahewa has trained a number of young Attorneys inculcating in them the highest professional and ethical standards. UE Chambers presently comprise of over ten academically and professionally qualified counsel covering multifarious practice areas.

Our Public Law practice extends over Administrative law, Constitutional law, and Fundamental Rights law. Members of Chambers possess expertise across the widest possible range of regulated sectors, whether appearing before the Court of Appeal, or the Supreme Court. Members of Chambers act for regulated parties, regulators and affected third parties, not only with litigation but in providing practical and commercial advice as to how best to navigate the regulatory process.
Our Arbitration Practice includes both domestic and international arbitration. Our head of chambers Mr.Uditha Egalahewa appears not only as counsel in arbitrations, but also sits as Arbitrator in multifarious Arbitrations.
